Tour Plan

Your Stawi Adventures journey begins with an early morning pick-up from Jomo Kenyatta International Airport or your Nairobi hotel. Travel southeast along the scenic Nairobi–Mombasa highway, through arid plains and past colorful rural villages.

Arrive at Amboseli National Park in time for lunch at your safari lodge, which offers spectacular views of Mount Kilimanjaro. After a brief rest, embark on your first game drive. Amboseli is world-renowned for its large-tusked elephants, especially those silhouetted against the snow-capped peak.

Wildlife to Expect: Elephants, zebras, wildebeests, lions, buffaloes, giraffes, ostriches, hyenas
Accommodation: Sentrim Amboseli Lodge / AA Amboseli Lodge or similar
Meals: Lunch, Dinner

Begin your day with an early sunrise game drive, when predators are on the move and the golden light offers incredible photographic opportunities. Return to the lodge for breakfast and relaxation.

Later in the day, set out again to explore Amboseli’s unique ecosystems—swamps, open plains, and acacia woodlands—all offering different habitats for wildlife.

Optional activities include:

  • Visit to a Maasai village to learn about traditional pastoralist lifestyles

  • Birdwatching excursion for flamingos, crowned cranes, and raptors

Accommodation: Sentrim Amboseli Lodge / AA Amboseli Lodge or similar
Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner

After breakfast, drive to Tsavo West National Park, a rugged wilderness of ancient volcanic hills, springs, and savannah. Check in at Ngulia Safari Lodge or equivalent.

In the afternoon, enjoy a guided game drive to Mzima Springs, a crystal-clear oasis where you can spot hippos and crocodiles underwater via a submerged viewing chamber. Nearby, visit the eerie black fields of the Shetani Lava Flow, remnants of a past volcanic eruption.

Wildlife to Expect: Black rhinos, kudu, leopards (near Ngulia cliffs), crocodiles, hippos
Accommodation: Ngulia Safari Lodge / Voyager Ziwani Camp or similar
Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner

Start the morning with a sunrise game drive in Tsavo West, where you may encounter leopards, buffaloes, and rare birds along the hills and riverbanks.

After breakfast, drive to Tsavo East National Park, known for its vast open spaces, red soil, and dramatic wildlife scenes. Enter through Manyani or Voi Gate, followed by an afternoon game drive en route to your lodge.

Tsavo East is especially famous for its “red elephants”, so-called because they wallow in the iron-rich red dust. Visit the Aruba Dam—a magnet for wildlife during the dry season.

Wildlife to Expect: Lions, elephants, cheetahs, zebras, baboons, waterbucks, elands
Accommodation: Voi Safari Lodge / Ashnil Aruba or similar
Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner

Enjoy a final early morning game drive as the sun rises over Tsavo’s plains. Return to your lodge for breakfast, check out, and then begin your scenic drive to Mombasa.

Arrive in Mombasa, Diani Beach, or your preferred coastal hotel by late afternoon. This seamless transition from safari to beach makes this itinerary ideal for honeymooners, family holidays, and travelers extending to the Kenyan coast.
