Tour Plan

Your adventure begins with a morning departure from Nairobi. Our professional driver-guide will collect you from your hotel, residence, or Jomo Kenyatta International Airport. The route to the Masai Mara takes you through the Great Rift Valley, a geological marvel with breathtaking viewpoints where you can stop for photos and light refreshments.

After a drive through Narok, the gateway to Maasai land, you’ll arrive at the Masai Mara National Reserve around midday. Check in at your mid-range safari lodge or tented camp (such as Jambo Mara, AA Lodge, or Ol Moran Camp), where a hearty lunch awaits.

After a short rest, embark on your first thrilling game drive inside the Masai Mara. As the afternoon sun casts golden hues over the plains, you’ll spot:

  • Elephants grazing in family herds

  • Lions resting in the grasslands

  • Buffaloes by the waterholes

  • And, if lucky, a leopard or cheetah stalking prey

This evening game drive is ideal for photography, especially with the sun setting behind the acacia trees.

Return to camp for dinner and relax under the stars, listening to the distant calls of hyenas and lions in the wild.

Accommodation: Mid-range lodge or camp near Masai Mara (full-board)
Meals Included: Lunch, Dinner

Rise early for a pre-breakfast sunrise game drive—this is the most active time for many animals. Predators such as lions and hyenas are finishing their nightly hunts, while herbivores like zebras and wildebeests begin to graze.

This golden hour is also the best time to spot:

  • Birds of prey

  • Jackals

  • Cheetahs hunting in the open plains

  • Elephants playing in the morning mist

After your morning game drive, return to camp for a full breakfast. You’ll then check out and begin your drive back to Nairobi, passing again through the Great Rift Valley. Enjoy a lunch stop en route and arrive in Nairobi by late afternoon, with drop-off at your preferred location (hotel or airport).

Optional stop: Visit a traditional Maasai village to learn about their customs, dress, and lifestyle. This is a culturally enriching way to connect with Kenya’s indigenous heritage.

Meals Included: Breakfast, Lunch
Drop-Off Options: Nairobi hotel / JKIA Airport
